Breakdown Or Breakthrough?
People have a natural need to control; events, other people, their own behaviours or everything possibly controllable. The control comes from a strong desire for a specific future outcome.
A leader controls their followers. Parents control their children. Employers control their employees.
Yet, worldly forces are uncontrollable and unpredictable.
Some moments are showers of joy, while others are floods of despair. No matter how much you control or hope, the future will unfold in unexpected ways, and things may seem to fall apart. Fixation comes with disappointment.
However, if you remain open and flexible, the unexpected future may surprise you instead. The world may seem to breakdown, but rather, it could be your needed breakthrough.
To welcome the new into your life, you need to let go of the things that no longer serve you; unsupportive people, limiting environments. To become a new person, you need to shed your old self; unhelpful attitudes, outdated beliefs.
And so, your world needs to breakdown in order to breakthrough into your new self and life. Let the pieces fall into place.
Don’t be concerned that things appear to be falling apart: this has to happen in order for something new and wonderful to emerge. Marianne Williamson.
